When the dead come calling.

Just recently my uncle passed away he was the last of my mum’s siblings and it made me start thinking back to when my aunt passed away, and my boys were still young.
I could feel my aunt was around, in fact both my aunts and other family around me, couldn’t see them but could feel them, it felt comforting.
Anyway I went into my youngest sons bedroom to make sure he still had his blankets on, he wasn’t quite asleep & he looked up at me and asked me who all the people with me were.  (So at least I know I was right).  He said there were a lot of shadow people around me, so I decided even though he was so young that I would tell him the truth, so I explained how his nanas sister had passed away and that she never got to meet him or his brother and that she had come to see them bringing other family with her and they were just saying hi.  He said Oh ok and slowly falling into a deep sleep, quite happy with the explanation.
So don’t be afraid to be honest with your kids about family members passing away and coming to visit , walk them around graveyards, talk to them about people passing on, they will be less afraid knowing that than what their imaginations will come up with.
Also this will teach them to respect graveyards and those resting there and not to be afraid.
